What is a Help Center Volunteer Support Page? This page is intended to be a “place” where the Help Center Volunteers can exchange questions and answers.

Why have a Wiki page identified for this purpose?

The “Discussion” component of this page is intended to provide another method of communication between Volunteers. The list of Volunteers does change. The ability to “subscribe” or “unsubscribe”, to this page, gives volunteers “control” over their level of participation.

How does this work?

The Discussion feature of this wiki allows someone to submit an entry. When an entry is submitted the submitter is allowed to “subscribe” to activity on the page. The submitter can also “unsubscribe”. If one chooses to subscribe then when someone creates a Discussion entry, anyone who is subscribed will receive a notice about the entry.

Why is subscribe and unsubscribe important.

1st, It allows the page to behave as an “email list”. This allows individuals to choose to participate. The present method of participation in the Help Center email distribution list, is implemented with the Help Center Administrator maintaining a list of participants and that list is then distributed to participants. Using the Discussion component of a wiki page puts the distribution list in ONE place and allows individuals to participate or not participate as they choose.

2nd: This wiki page can retain a history of communication between the set of people that choose to participate.
