Sun City Computer Club Special Interest Groups
SIGs
Another benefit with Sun City Computer Club membership is the number of special interest groups – or SIGs.
SIGs are formed and maintained to share knowledge and experiences on a particular area of computing.
An example is the recently formed Coding SIG. At the organizational meeting club members shared their experiences and goals for the SIG. Most members had decades of experience. Some members just wanted to learn.
A listing of the current club’s SIGs is given on the club web page.
There is no additional cost to join a SIG. Or all SIGs.
To join a SIG: logon to the Sun City Community Association web site, select My Memberships, then check the SIGs you wish to join and receive meeting notices.
Most SIGs meet in person and/or via zoom once a month. Programs and presentations are selected by SIG members. Most presentations are published on the individual SIG’s web page as separate web pages on the Sun City Computer Club’s web page. As the presentations are published, members can view and review past presentations.
By joining the individual SIGs members get notification of new meeting topics and news germane to the SIGs interest areas. As a group member you can make a difference to the SIG, the Computer Club, and the community.
